Custom MLP : Night Music DSby *marienoire

Because I think we all have to attempt a black pony at some point. This poor girl used to be a badly shorn and VERY dirty Confetti (as in ground in dirt). I cleaned her as best I could and painted her a deep blue-black (looks black in the picture, but she is blue-black). Using white paint, I put a musical scale ( a very inaccurate one, I know) on her and little notes with stars on them. The stars all have a glaze of pearly paint over them. Her eyes have been repainted a bright blue and there is a series of five pearly dots in her display-side eye. Silver eyeshadow and a pearly star on her muzzle complete the paint job. She had also been rehaired with a mix of Restoredoll hair in CM MIdnight, Platinum White, and Purple Passion.

I use Liquitex Basics Acrylics. I just water them down to the consistency of thick cream and then use lots of coats. Without being watered down, they leave brush strokes.
